Background: As the nation’s second busiest airport in passenger travel in 2019, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) must adapt to meet the needs of travelers and airlines in the 21st century. Completed in 2021, the West Gates at Tom Bradley International Terminal project is a state-of-the-art 12-gate concourse connected to the Tom Bradley International Terminal by two underground passageways, and earned the LEED Gold certification.
