Background: As the nation’s second busiest airport in passenger travel in 2019, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) must adapt to meet the needs of travelers and airlines in the 21st century. The West Gates at Tom Bradley International Terminal project is a new state-of-the-art 12-gate concourse connected to the Tom Bradley International Terminal by two underground passageways, and was built to achieve LEED Silver certification.
