Palmdale Water Reclamation Plant Stage 5 – Phase 1

Background: This project upgraded and expanded the Palmdale Water Reclamation Plant to tertiary treatment of all inflows to produce recycled water as part of an initiative to improve water supply reliability. It expanded the plant from processing 9 million gallons a day (MGD) to 15 MGD.
Project Work: CM Solutions developed the fully resource and cost-loaded baseline schedule and performed ongoing schedule updates to reflect dynamic field conditions and changes in expenditures and resources. In addition, extensive time impact analysis scenarios were performed to effectively demonstrate complex engineering and construction compensable delay issues that garnered an 80-day non-compensable time extension for the contractor.
