Background: This SoCalGas program involves upgrading and modernizing existing regulator stations with new real-time, remote-control capabilities to monitor pressure and flow across the gas distribution network. It involves over 200 projects in every territory of Southern California valued from $500,000 to $2 million and prioritized according to risk of pressure incidents.
Project Work: CMS project managers were selected to lead and execute projects in the distribution modernization program, from engineering through procurement and construction. Sites are both underground and above ground, and each has unique challenges such as easements, aesthetics and stakeholder agreement. Our team also captures the lessons learned for the entire program.
