Background: The largest groundwater agency in California, the Water Replenishment District of Southern California (WRD) is undertaking an initiative to end the District’s reliance on imported water for groundwater replenishment. The Albert Robles Center for Water Recycling & Environmental Learning (formerly known GRIP) is the largest component of this program and purifies 3.25 billion gallons of recycled water each year. This project involved the construction of an advanced water treatment facility, as well as a visitor and educational center, and a pipeline running parallel to the San Gabriel River Parkway.

Project Work: CM Solutions was engaged by both the CM firm and the contractor to provide collaborative scheduling services, reporting, and construction management oversight. Collaborative scheduling provides a single master scheduler for both the contractor and owner, which creates greater efficiency and transparency while avoiding claims by resolving problems at the jobsite level.
