Background: The ConocoPhillips Los Angeles Refinery instituted facility modifications to produce Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel (ULSD). Reducing the sulfur content of diesel leads to a reduction of sulfur oxides (SOx) and particulate sulfate emissions, fulfilling the California Air Resources Board’s (CARB) 2000 Diesel Risk Reduction Plan to minimize Californians’ exposure to cancer risks associated with diesel particulate matter (PM).
Project Work: CM Solutions assisted the design firm, Worley Parsons, by providing weekly schedule updates, including earned value analysis, to track progress and justifying funding. CM Solutions coordinated with the project team and management, provided weekly reports with updated schedule data incorporating change orders, and developed various cost and schedule reports for planning and analysis.
