Background: The demand for renewable energy is creating a greater need for electricity that is both efficient and reliable. To facilitate this need, San Diego Gas & Electric is expanding and modernizing its electric distribution system to increase capacity and to reduce stress on the power grid.
Project Work: CM Solutions is providing program management to oversee a portfolio of over 250 projects from preconstruction through completion. We developed an efficient progress reporting system and team communications to improve quality, manage scope and reduce project execution time, thereby reducing project delivery time by 6 months, from 2 years to 18 months. The CMS PMO team included the program manager, project managers, coordinators, cost engineers and schedulers.
